Possible complications
Due to hangover, you will have some problems with your memory, concentration, dexterity and visual-spatial skills. This temporary reducing of your abilities increases your risk of appearing such problems at work as:
- Trouble completing your tasks
- Criticism from a supervisor
- Conflict with co-workers
- Falling asleep on the job
- Workplace injuries
What causes
Hangovers appear as the result of consuming too much alcohol. A single alcoholic drink is enough to cause a hangover for some people, while others may drink heavily and escape a hangover entirely.
Prevention
There are some advices to save you from a hangover:
- You should eat something before and while drinking. It helps your body slow down the process of alcohol absorption.
- Drinking few glasses of water keep your body from dehydration that usually happens when you are experiencing a hangover.
- You should avoid cogeners, because they commonly cause hangover symptoms.
- Do not mix different types of alcoholic beverage, because it make difficult for your system to metabolize the alcohol.
Treatment
The best treatment for hangover is to rest, try to drink a lot of water, cactus fruit extract juice and take an aspirin as soon as you wake up.
