What is Ting

Ting or tolnaftate topical is an antifungal medicine that used to prevent fungus from growing on the skin.


Side effects of Ting

Ting can cause skin irritation. If you have noticed this symptom, you should contact your doctor as soon as possible.


Indication

Ting is effective in the treatment of skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch and ringworm infections. Ting can also be used in combination with other antifungals to treat infections of the nails, scalp, palms and soles of the feet. The powder and powder aerosol may be used to prevent athlete's foot.


Precautions

You have to tell your doctor before using Ting if you have:

  • allergic reactions to tolnaftate or any other drugs
  • are taking any other prescription and non-prescription medications, including vitamins
  • are pregnant, plan to become pregnant,or are breastfeeding


Dosage forms

Ting dose for adults

Disease/condition Dose
Tinea Corporis Apply to the affected area once or twice a day for 2-4 weeks
Tinea Cruris Apply to the affected area once or twice a day for 2-4 weeks.
Tinea Pedis Apply to the affected area once or twice a day for 2-4 weeks
Tinea Versicolor Apply to the affected area once or twice a day for 2-4 weeks
