The use more than one pint of beer (about 570 ml) in a day can raise considerably the risk of disease by separate kinds of a cancer, informs BBC News. Research was spent in 8 European countries: France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Greece, Germany, Denmark and Great Britain – with participation of 363 988 persons at the age from 35 till 70 years. It has appeared that 1 from 10 men and 1 from 33 women were ill with a cancer because of alcohol intake. For example, in 2008 among 304 thousand cases of disease by a cancer in Great Britain of 13 thousand have been caused by alcohol intake, and even stopped drinker people have got to number of diseased.

The previous researches have already defined communication between consumption of spirits and a cancer of a gullet, a liver, intestine and even mammary glands. When alcohol is splitting in an organism the substances are developed, capable to damage DNA, and, accordingly, to rise chances of cancer development. Last research has shown that men who drank more than two standard portions of spirits in day, and women who drank more than one portion in day, had high chances to be ill with an "alcoholic" cancer. In total more than 18 % of the cancer diseases connected with alcohol at men and about 4 % at women have arisen because of abusing alcohol. From 40 % to 98 % of the people who were ill with a cancer because of alcohol, used it in more, than recommended maximum, quantity.

According to research, over the last 10 years the mouth cancer became much more and more widespread phenomenon and the unique reason for it, authors opinion, – a high consumption level of alcohol. Just as refusal of smoking and maintenance of normal weight, refusal of alcohol is one of the most effective methods of decrease in risk to be ill with a cancer. It is possible to drink sometimes, the main thing – isn't regular.

It is expected that the government of Great Britain in short term will start to develop the new laws directed on decrease by the population of alcohol consumption.
