Good news for the parents about speech development of children
Good news for the parents which worry about an arrest of speech development of children. Scientists from Australia consider that backlog in speech development in most cases doesn't render any long-term influence on Children's Mental Health.
Due to statistics, 7-18 % of kids difficulties in timely development of speech are observed, and some experts suppose that various psychological problems is more often develop in children with a delay of speech development. Scientists from Australia don't agree with this opinion, and consider that the majority of such children quickly caught up to the school beginning.
Having compared the data about children who have started talking after their contemporaries, and the kids who did not have problems with speech development, the Australian researchers have come to a conclusion that at teenage age between their mental developments there is no difference. Late started talking teenagers don't suffer from depressions, shyness, and do not behave more aggressively, than other teenagers. It means that strategy of observation over children with a delay of speech development in two years can be quite justified if the child doesn't have problems in other areas of development.
