Six to eight glasses of water a day.

A few newspapers have stated that “government advice to drink six to eight glasses of water a day is nothing but "thoroughly debunked nonsense"
The news stories are based on an opinion piece in the British Medical Journal, in which Dr Margaret McCartney, a GP from Glasgow, has discussed the evidence behind the claims that people need to drink more water to maintain their health. Dr. McCartney also questions the advice that people need to drink about six to eight glasses of water or other fluids a day to prevent dehydration of organism.
This article contains some advantages concerning shortage of proofs that there is an advantage for health which will be available from drink of the increased quantity of water, or that people don't drink enough of water and should aspire to drink more.
However, McCartney's argument that the governmental council - ‘completely exposed nonsense ’, is spoiled. Two researches on which she bases the argument, looked at water volumes, it is much more than current British government. They are the American researches which address to research rather ‘ 8x8 ’ a rule which day (1.9 liters) promotes drink at least eight glasses on 8 ounces of water. It - is much more than ‘approximately 6-8 points (1.2 liters) liquid the day protected by the British government.
Hydrating storage is important. It is recommended, that 6-8 glasses of water or other liquid were consumed every day to replace normal water loss, instead of receiving any wider advantage for health.
