May Gossiping prevent Stress?

A new study reveals that indulging in gossiping is not a bad habit and, on the contrary, it has some benefits with regard to stress provided it is the right kind of gossip.
The study was made by researchers at University of California in Berkeley. They studied about 51 people who took part in 4 different experiments involving games in which the participants cheated.
The researchers found out that those participants who gossiped managed to overcome their frustrations and were less stressed compared to those who did not gossip.
Robb Willer, co-author of the study, stated:
“The gossipping increased their negative feelings and managed their frustration. Gossiping made people feel better”
