Unprotected Sex is prevalent among young people

According to a new study, a number of young people who practice unprotected sex in the West has risen extremely over the past 2 years.
The study by the Parenthood Foundation showed significant increases among sexual life of teenagers in the U.S.A and in European countries such as France who never use contraception with a new partner.
In the U.S.A, these rates rose from 38% in 2009 to 53% now, while France saw an increase from 19% to 40%.
Scientists also found out that Thailand is a particular cause for concern, because 62% of young Thais have had unprotected sexual intercourse with a new partner. But the leader countries were China, South Korea, Norway and Estonia.
The study shows that the most common cause of not using contraception in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America and the U.S.A is a lack of preparedness for sexual activity. Most young people in these regions said they did not have any form of contraception during sex.
Jennifer Woodside, the leader of the study, made a conclusion:
"Too many young people have unprotected sex due to the lack of good knowledge about sexual health, they even cannot ask for contraception or learn the skills to negotiate contraceptive use with their partners to protect themselves from unwanted pregnancies or STIs (sexually transmitted infections)."
